LOVE // LINDY & LUKE

Charmingly idyllic with notes of understated glamour, Lindy & Luke's Sutton Forest wedding captured by The Loved Ones exuded true intimacy with hints of oriental embellishments and 1960's ambience. Romantically adorned with overgrown ivy throughout the quintessentially Gatsby-esque ballroom, French decadence enveloped the candle-lit reception...

HOW WE MET: We met working together in a creative studio. Initially, we didn’t think of each other in a romantic way, but we did have a lot of fun working together especially during cheap Vietnamese lunch outings and long film shoots. A former colleague swears that Luke’s face changed when he first saw me.

OUR ENGAGEMENT STORY:We were celebrating our anniversary on an autumns day in the Kangaroo Valley. Good friends had arrived earlier at a cottage Luke had booked and set up a spread of Moet and fine cheeses. When we arrived, I was treated to a private candle lit picnic – Our favourite songs playing in the background, we wrapped ourselves in blankets on the porch watching the rain roll over the valley. It was romantic and understated, I was caught so off guard by the whole thing that I was an emotional mess.

MARRIAGE TO US MEANS: A beautiful life long adventure – shared with the one that you love.

WEDDING LOCATION: Summerlees, Sutton Forest NSW. Summerlees is a private residence about 10mins from Moss Vale. The rustic grounds, all white Victorian era homestead with long tree lined driveway and English gardens are idyllic. Resident peacock, Andrew and horse, Cino brought an extra touch of charm to the 74 acre property. We gathered in the 1920s ballroom, overgrown with ivy, adorned with candles and chandeliers for the reception. I grew up in the country and have always imagined being married in a similar setting.

THEME/STYLE: Theme French decadence and as Luke’s heritage is Chinese, we really wanted to include hints of the oriental.

PHOTOGRAPHY: Our photographers The Loved Ones captured our most special moments of the day. We were drawn to Matt and Madeline’s pure, light, enchanting and intimate style photography.
